Why not just use paper and cotton ones?
Paper and cotton swabs impact the environment because they are single-use. The average person goes through hundreds of cotton swabs each year. These cotton swabs get produced, warehoused, shipped, purchased, used, and discarded. During this process, the use of raw materials and the CO2 created are harmful to the environment. These processes become unnecessary when you commit to using reusable products like LastSwab.
How long does LastSwab last?
LastSwab is tested to withstand up to 1,000 uses.
Is LastSwab sanitary?
LastSwabs are easily cleaned with water and a little soap. You can also use a disinfectant like rubbing alcohol to sanitize it.
Can I use LastSwab to clean a child's ear?

Can I use LastSwab for nail polish removal, art projects or instrument cleaning?
You can generally use a LastSwab as you would use a single use swab, but keep in mind that LastSwab is not heat resistant and you can not use it with solvents such as acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover.
How many single use swabs does LastSwab need to replace to be better for the environment?
The question is complicated to answer precisely as the carbon footprint of 1000 single use swabs depends on the materials used: organic cotton or not, wood sticks or paper, the distance between production and consumption, waste management options at the location they are discarded etc.
Where is LastSwab manufactured?
We have two LastSwab manufacturers, one is located in China and one is located in Denmark. We only work with non-EU manufacturers that have SMETA (ethical audit) certificates.

What is LastTissue made of?
The tissues are made of 100% organic cotton (GOTS), and the case is made of a food grade silicone.
Is silicone a sustainable material?
Silicone is durable, and more ocean-friendly than plastic. The LastTissue case may last you a lifetime, but at its end of life it can be recycled. If it’s not recycled, but thrown out and incinerated at a waste plant, silicone reverts back into its harmless ingredients: amorphous silica, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
What’s the size of LastTissue?
The tissues are 18,5x18,5 cm (7.28x7.28in), and the case measures 11x5,5x2,5 cm (4.33x2.16x0.98in).
How many tissues are included in the pack, and can I buy refills?
A LastTissue pack comes with six cotton tissues included. Sets of six refill tissues are available to order.
Is LastTissue hygienic?
Yes, the clean and used tissues are separated by a silicone barrier inside the case, and the tissues can be washed at 60C/140F to make sure germs are killed before the case is refilled (remember to unfold the tissues before you machine wash them). The silicone case is even safe to put in the dishwasher.
I'm already using a handkerchief, why should I get a LastTissue?
LastTissue is reusable like a handkerchief, but with the convenience of a single use tissue pack. In one pack you get six clean tissues, and you have a practical and hygienic case to store the used tissues in until it’s time to wash them.
How long will LastTissue last?
Each of the six cotton tissues in a pack can be reused over 520 times, bringing the total number of single use tissues a pack will replace over +3100. You can extend the lifetime of the tissues by washing them in a mesh laundry bag.
How do you fold the tissues when refilling the case?
You can fold the tissues any way you would like, but if you would like to see how they are folded when you receive the case, please see here.
Where is LastTissue manufactured?
LastTissue is manufactured in China. We only work with non-EU manufacturers that have SMETA (ethical audit) certificates.
What is LastRound made of?
The rounds are made of 70% Scandinavian wood fibers and 30% cotton fibers that are too short to be used in the textile industry. The case comes in two versions and is either made of a plant based material, or of recycled ocean bound plastic collected in Indonesia in collaboration with the organisation: https://henghiap.com/?page_id=37.
How many rounds come with a LastRound case?
A LastRound comes with seven rounds included.
What’s the size of the rounds?
The round diameter is six centimeters.
Can I buy refill rounds?
Refill rounds are not available to order yet, but we expect them to be in late spring ‘21.
How do I wash the rounds?
The rounds are machine washable at up to 60C/140F. We suggest washing them in a mesh laundry bag, as this will extend the lifespan of the rounds.
How do I get makeup stains out of the round?
Most liquid makeup, like foundation, is oil-based, so the way to remove the stains is by using a grease-fighting agent, like dish soap. Wet the area, and apply dish soap to the stain with a soft brush, and then launder the rounds.
Can I use the rounds to remove nail polish?
The rounds can be used with nail polish remover, but they will likely not last as long, and it's important that you clean them thoroughly, otherwise leftover nail polish will make them stiffer. Once a round has been used for nail polish, it should only be used for nail polish.
How long will the rounds last?
The seven rounds of a LastRound case are expected to last for 1750 uses in total. To preserve the rounds we recommend washing them in a mesh laundry bag.
How do I dispose of the rounds at their end of life?
The rounds are compostable with your household waste.
